What is your shooting style?
Storytelling, Reportage, Documentary Style.
I will photograph your day as it happens naturally. Some call it documentary style, reportage or photo journalistic. I prefer to simply call it story telling. My approach is not about a long list of posed or set-up shots, it’s about telling the real story of your day. From the tears to the laughter while capturing your family and friends along the way.

 

Do you take any traditional group shots?

Yes I encourage you to stick to 10 group shots or less. If you think you will need more than 10 group shots I would recommend a more traditional style photographer that specializes in posed line-up style shots. My style attracts a more creative non-traditional client.

 

What experience do you have?

I have an HND in photography from the College of Building & Print in Glasgow, I have worked as a photographer at the Hannah Research Institute in Ayr and I ran my own photography studio called Shiny Portraits. A grand total of 20 years experience.

 

Do you have a second shooter?

I’m so used to working on my own but I can provide a second photographer at an additional fee if you desire.

 

What coverage do you offer?

I offer coverage from Bridal Preparation until your sit down meal including speeches before your meal.

 

Do you cover “First Dance”

I do not cover first dance as I usually leave during your meal.

 

Do you photograph during the meal?

I do not photograph anyone during your meal as these photographs are unflattering.

 

Should I provide a meal for you?

There is no need to arrange a meal for me. The bar staff at venues are always really good at getting me soft drinks so you don’t need to worry about me at all.

 

How far do you travel?

As I live in Ayrshire I mainly choose to photograph weddings locally although I have been known to travel a far as Stirling and Edinburgh if I feel it’s a quirky venue.

 

How do I book?

If I confirm your date is available I require an initial £100 booking fee which will secure your date. If I already have an inquiry on that date I will offer the date on a first come first serve basis. I’m fully booked for 2016 and 2017 is filling up fast.

 

Are you insured?

Yes I come fully insured.

 

What equipment do you use?

I only use the best equipment. I have a Canon 5D MK 111 with prime lenses with backup cameras.

 

When will I get my images?

You will get your images in 3 / 4 weeks after your wedding. I will send you your images on a beautifully presented fully edited USB. You will get approximately 400/500 images depending on the length of coverage you have chosen. I will provide you with high-resolution images with full print right and low-resolution images for you to post on facebook or email to guests. All watermark free.

 

Will I get an online gallery & slideshow?

Yes, I post your full wedding onto a password protected gallery hosted on my website. You can give out your password to friends and family for them to view your images. There will also be a slideshow of your day set to music.

 

Will I get an album or prints?

You can buy prints from the online gallery and I offer albums at an extra charge.
